Report an animal in distress

Describe the situation briefly and share your location. The more precise the location, the sooner we are there.

Danger to life? Then call right away – that is faster than any form. 01512 2671289

Cannot use the phone? This form works without a call – further down you can tick that we should write to you. For emergency calls to police and fire brigade without speaking there is nora, the emergency app of the German states; it has to be set up beforehand. To the nora emergency app (opens in a new window) · In simple language

1 · Where is the animal?

The exact location is the most important part of your report. Many animals lie on a farm track, in a ditch or at the edge of a wood – there is no house number to drive to. With your coordinates we can find the spot to within a few metres.

We take the location when you tap the button – or straight away if you have already allowed this site to use your location. It is sent only with this one report and deleted as soon as the callout is closed.

Alongside the location, a description with landmarks helps – bridge, hide, car park, power line. If sharing your location will not work at all, this is our only chance: then please write as precisely as you can.

2 · How urgent is it?
3 · What has happened?
4 · How can we reach you?

Either one is enough – without a way back to you we cannot ask questions.

Then we need a mobile number or an e-mail address. You do not have to say why you cannot use the phone.

Immediate danger to life? Call 01512 2671289 straight away, or contact the police (110) or the veterinary authority (Veterinäramt). This form is not an emergency call.
